MINNY

Minny and her US Air Force veteran were assigned as partners in November 2022.

Since then, she has become a faithful companion, dutifully passing her public access service test and learning how to be the best battle buddy she can be. Her veteran often credits Minny with saving his life in multiple ways. One week after he and Minny were partnered together, he found out he had cancer. Minny was by his side, every step of the way.

Now she uses her ‘supershero’ service dog power to make sure her partner is stable and grounded no matter the situation. His anxiety around people and crowds is greatly lessened by her presence and ever watchful eye.

She is a social dog and loves people and kids, but when she is working she knows what her job is. As one of her vest patches states: “I’m so fluffy but no touchy”. Minny is full of personality and loves to play with her sisters at home, but she always has one eye on her veteran making sure that she is always ready to respond if he needs her.

His life would not be the same had he not been given this amazingly wonderful sidekick to be by his side.
