In Honor of a Hero: Meet Humphry
With deep reverence and gratitude, we’re honored to introduce Humphry, one of the newest service dogs entering our Spring 2024 cohort — named in memory of Jason “Hump” Humphrey.
Jason was a Marine Corps Sergeant, a member of the Air Force Reserves, the Army National Guard, and a 20-year veteran of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. He was known for his unwavering service, his love for veterans, and his passion for dogs. Though he tragically passed away in a traffic accident just weeks after being accepted into our program, his legacy of loyalty and courage lives on through Humphry.
This meaningful tribute was made possible thanks to Stillwater Ranch, who fully sponsored Humphry, and the generosity of San Juan Kennels and Jason’s Gold Star Family.
Humphry will carry Jason’s spirit into every training session, every act of service, and eventually into the arms of a veteran who needs him most.
